Borosilicate glass is made of fifteen percent boron oxide which makes the glass thermal resistant to shock, which means boiling or cold water, tea or coffee will not shatter or crack the glass straw.

 

Also, the glass straw resist acid degradation, bacteria or chemicals that can seep into drinks.

 

Borosilicate glass straws are safe for people with allergies and sensitivities.  Also, the bent glass straws are perfect for the elderly and for people with disabilities.

Is Borosilicate glass unbreakable?

Borosilicate glass straws can withstand heat without shattering the glass and is more sturdier than lime glass. Glass straws can break if hit against hard objects or dropped on cement, title or stone. 

 

When handled with care, borosilicate glass will last a long time. Placing  the glass straws away from other items, will help the life of the glass straws.

Discontinue  use of glass straws if there is breakage, cracking or chipping. 

 

Is Borosilicate glass BPA Free?

 

Yes, borosilicate glass is BPA and hypoallergenic lead-free.

 

What are the best ways to clean Borosilicate glass straws?

 

Glass Straws can be washed by hand with hot water, soap and brush.  Cleaning brush can clean any length or widths of glass straws.  If wash in hard water, soak glass straws in distilled white vinegar. After the soaking, use the brush to get glass straw back to original form.

For smoothies glass straws, clean after each use with brush.
